From August 1, 2016, Autodesk will no longer sell or renew subscriptions to the Revit Collaboration Suite. The subscription-only Suite currently includes Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk A360 Team.
Why is Autodesk ending the licensing of Revit Collaboration Suite?
We heard you—the way you work is changing rapidly, which also changes the tools you use and the ways you license and access software. Beginning August 1, 2016 we will introduce industry collections, which will give you a new way to access the Autodesk software you want and need—while providing you greater value, more flexibility, and a simplified customer experience. The AEC Collection includes the Autodesk Revit and Autodesk AutoCAD software in the Revit Collaboration Suite, among other Autodesk desktop and cloud software products. With the introduction of this new offering, we will discontinue sale and renewal of subscriptions to the Revit Collaboration Suite.
What is the AEC collection?
An Autodesk industry collection is the most convenient and flexible way to access a wide selection of Autodesk software. The AEC collection is one essential BIM package for building, civil infrastructure and construction. See Autodesk Industry Collections for more information.
How will this affect my current subscription to Revit Collaboration Suite?
After the July 31, 2016 discontinuation, if you have an active subscription to the Revit Collaboration Suite, Autodesk will continue to fulfill existing subscription entitlements and benefits for you until the end of your subscription contract. During the duration of your remaining active subscription, you can continue to use your software and receive support and benefits. On or after October 7, 2016 you will be able to switch your active Revit Collaboration Suite single-user subscription to the AEC Collection single-user, at no fee until the renewal date of your subscription. At your next renewal, you will pay the AEC Collection renewal price.
Can I switch to the Product Design Collection or Media & Entertainment Collection?
No. Subscribers to Revit Collaboration Suite will be eligible to switch to the AEC Collection only.
Do I need to take action to switch to the AEC Collection?
Yes. After October 7th, you can switch your active Revit Collaboration Suite subscription to the AEC Collection. Please get in contact for help.
What if I don’t switch my subscription to the AEC Collection?
If you do not take the action to switch your Revit Collaboration Suite subscription to the AEC Collection, your access to the Revit Collaboration Suite will end at the end of your subscription term. Once your Revit Collaboration Suite subscription ends without being switched to the AEC Collection, you would need a new subscription to the AEC Collection if you do not switch during your active subscription.
The Revit Collaboration Suite includes a subscription to A360 Team. How do I continue access to this service if I switch to the AEC Collection?
You will need to purchase a separate subscription to A360 Team (renamed BIM 360 Team as of June 2016).
What are my purchase options for adding additional licenses?
Until July 31, 2016, you can subscribe to Revit Collaboration Suite.
