Earlier this month Autodesk announced it will be releasing two brand new suites in response to recent Building information Modelling (BIM) demands and government BIM mandates.
The two new suites are entitled Autodesk Structural Fabrication Suite and Autodesk MEP Fabrication Suite and both include a variety of valuable software products to ease the BIM process.
The Autodesk Structural Fabrication Suite will provide users with the tools needed to ease the process from design to fabrication.
The Autodesk Structural Fabrication Suite includes:
The combination of AutoCAD, Revit and Advance Steel will help users to streamline the detailing process by integrating steel detailing alongside the design tools used within AutoCAD and Revit.
Furthermore, the addition of Navisworks Simulate will help designers extend fabrication into their work by enabling coordination, estimation and 4D simulation of steel projects.
Another suite Autodesk has released is the MEP Fabrication Suite which enables MEP contractors and fabricators to make the transition to BIM at a much lower cost.
The Autodesk MEP Fabrication Suite includes:
Combined together, these powerful software applications allow users to generate more accurate estimates, detailed models and directly drive MEP fabrication. The MEP Fabrication Suite will allow users to bring model accuracy to the field more efficiently.
