On October 11th, Autodesk released the latest Revit 2018.2 update. This minor update brings along a number of bug fixes, new functionalities and software stability improvements.
The update can be accessed by subscribers and current maintenance plan customers by using the Autodesk accounts portal or Autodesk Desktop App.
One of the largest improvements in the Revit 2018.2 update is that the Revit development team has replaced the old fill pattern dialog with a revamped dialog, enabling a new search functionality for patterns, making it much more user-friendly.
In the latest update, new right-click menu options have been added, allowing you to easily expand or collapse information in the project browser all at once or just the selected item in the tree.
Autodesk improved section box grips, also known as controls, making it easier and more accurate to make selections.
In addition to user interface improvements, this new feature remembers the last location of previously loaded families, making it easier to find where your families are stored.
MEP engineers haven’t been forgotten with the 2018.2 update. You can now colour code MEP Fabrication elements by selecting a solid surface pattern in the view settings.
For structural engineers you can now take advantage of new precast content such as beams, columns and isolated foundations, allowing you to create structures more efficiently.
