Case Study: Scan-to-BIM
Project: Historic Residential Property, Arundel
This property is a private residential building in the heart of Arundel currently in the process of renovation.
This was a small project but due to the poor condition and alignment of the internal walls and floors, it made for a very challenging job. Part of the scope of the work was to show in a high level of detail the precarious condition of the structural elements. This project was delivered to the Architect for development in Vectorworks and despite the challenges, we delivered this on time and budget.
Our brief was to:
- Receive and process the point cloud survey data for the site from our survey partner.
- Create a detailed building model of the exterior and interior spaces, and some of the external MEP features.
- Deliver an IFC file and dwg floor plan files back to the architect responsible for the project.
