Case Study: Scan-to-BIM
Project: Target House, Acomb, Northumberland
We were commissioned by one of the UK’s largest estate agents and property consultants to create a detailed 3D revit model of this property in Northumberland.
Our client was advising on the sale of the property and was looking for a reputable firm to deliver a 3D model of the interior and the exterior to a level of detail (LOD) 300, having already had a measured building survey undertaken by laser scanner.
We were recommended by another of our satisfied clients – always nice to know!
The property is a 5500 square foot country house set in approximately seven acres of grounds, located in a semi-rural area close to Hexham, Northumberland, a place well known to be full of striking and historic buildings.
The house comprises two floors, and also includes a glazed conservatory and a square, stone-built tower.
The Level of Detail our client requested was LOD 300, which on a building of this age was quite challenging in terms of margin of tolerance.
Our model also included main MEP features, primary and secondary structural elements and fixed furniture.
